As my boy gets closer to his 7th birthday, I am seeing daily how fast time is flying and how wonderful he is. He and Eli share a room and they fall asleep to music every night. Tonight, he asked for a new cd (he's tired of the old one) so I told him I'd surprise him. I went to the old cd book that we've had for our entire marriage, pull out a piano one called Peace. As it played, he says "Mom, where did you get this cd?" So I told him it's a cd daddy and I used to listen to all the time when we were first married. He said, "oh wow", very thoughtfully. I realized this boy has a romantic bone and he always loves to hear the back story on things, plus know the reason behind things. He's always thinking and planning. He loves to cook. In fact, he chased me down outside to ask if he could start dinner tonight (frozen pizza, but hey). He
can cook scrambled eggs all by himself. The intelligence I get to see when schooling with him keeps me excited about homeschooling. He has broken down some walls this year with
perseverance in reading and math. He is now reading to me, rather than me splitting it with him, and doing his entire math lesson each day without being distracted. Maybe it's maturity, but he has definitely pushed thru and we are now having a lot more fun with school. He never misses an opportunity to sit with me, as close as possible. I do have to watch my every expression though, because he sees everything and is quite sensitive to how he is received. (reminds me of someone when she was little ;)

So, in about 6 days, my T man is going to be 7. We are having a Nascar/baseball party because he loves both! He's starting to collect baseball cards, loves fast cars and we w
ill be enjoying some donuts and brownies! We
sure love this little guy!
