it's been a while

updates:
we finally got a new computer, but i'm not sure if i can download pics yet. it takes time (*a whole lot of precious time* song in my head) and i don't usually have that. hopefully soon.

the boys are all doing wonderful. just finished up a nasty virus. makes me thankful for healthy days when they are all bouncing off the walls. we're trying to figure out how to get outside and get some good vitamin d without getting eaten up by mesquitos. we spent some time last night playing "barber shop" (with boys, it can't be beauty shop) and i was the customer of choice, so i got a new hair do, lotion all over and makeup and nails done. wow, it was quite a production. fortunately, the boys all thought i was beautiful. lance, on the other hand, thought i needed a bath to get all the smelly goop off. he was starting to get a headache. he's not much of a perfume kind of man. it is nice to be pampered though!

eli is walking now, like a champ, carrying toys from one room to another. he is talking in his own little way, kind of like a monkey... gutteral sounds and shakes of the head, so cute! josiah is still creating masterpieces with legos, the latest is castles and kings and queens. he's hoping to make a home movie with all his characters (per a suggestion from a friend). he is also making masterpieces with paint, he is quite good! jonah is practicing his ninja/cowboy/soldier skills daily and daydreams about how he will defeat any bad guy that comes his way. titus is maturing and surprising me constantly. we are doing preschool this summer with him while i don't have the responsibility of the others' schooling. he loves the one on one time. we're trying to help him recognize letters and numbers and he seems to be ready to grasp it. he's still being as funny as ever. one night, during the virus, he had a fever going to bed. so i was laying in bed with him and gave him a cool cloth on his head. he was breathing deeply, his arm was limp so i whispered "are you asleep"? he lifted one corner of the cloth off of his one eye and said with all seriousness, "does it look like i'm asleep?" i can't believe what he comes up with all on his own.
