To catch up on our last few weeks: Josiah turned 11 and Jonah turned 9 on the 15th! We are so very proud of both of our big boys! Josiah, at 11, is becoming quite the gymnast. He can really do anything he puts his mind to and has given gymnastics his best. His latest accomplishment is the round off back hand spring! More than that, though, is the heart of gold that he carries around. He is a loving and kind big brother, helpful son and very thoughtful of the presence of God in his life. He woke up the day after his birthday and said, "I had an extraordinary dream!" He then went on to tell about dreaming he was in Africa and all the kids were running to him. There's no telling what he will do in his life, but it is amazing to watch as it unfolds!
Jonah, at 9, is becoming quite the wrestling expert. His favorite thing is to watch the wrestlers on youtube and reinact it on the trampoline with his brothers and friends. Needless to say, I've got a lot to learn, but now know who Hornswaggle, John Cena, and Triple H are. Along with his intense activity, he has a strong imagination and still loves his legos, 'little cars'/matchbox, and drawing pictures of jeeps. Jonah, like his brother, has a heart of gold and loves people. He takes every opportunity to carry his littlest brother around, hold him when he's sad and make up a fun game when he's mad. Jonah loves having lots of friends around too, I think he would love it if we had a few more kids, but he's going to have to be okay with adding friends. At 9, he is dreaming of being a soldier one day.
Here are some pictures from their birthday morning: new bikes, shirts, legos, itunes cards, and wrestlers. We left that afternoon for Kiawah Island with friends and celebrated some more. The island is amazing! Alligators, bike rides and ice cream, a cold ocean, cold pool, beautiful giant screened porch, cake and pie.
